Electronic toy is a kind of toy that adopts electronic technology, electronic devices and components to control the movement and generate various sounds and lights.
At first, general electronic toys just applied electronic technology, voice, wireless electronic wave and light wave to control the movement of the toys.
Electronic toy emerged with the development of electronic technology since 1950s. Electronic toys with both study and entertainment functions are very popular among children. Today’s technology is just like the past rock music, most parents, even though some of those are really cool, can’t keep up with the trend of the times.
In modern times, children are all good at playing high-tech products. They may understand and master a new device faster than adults, such as texting messages, is the most popular item in teenager nowadays.
In America, children in middle class families generally have computers, game machines, TVs, and DVD, and more and more children have cell phones. Children are familiar with various high-tech products, which will influence their future life. For example, the more they are used to reading online, the less they will read printed readers after growing up. They will spend more time on downloading music and movies rather than go to music stores and cinemas.
Parents are not sure that whether they should provide a complete set of high-tech products when they are still young or they should try their best to prevent their children from the influence of the electronic world.
But one point we are sure that people spend too much time on computers, after a long time, the side effect will emergence, such as wrist joint syndrome, muscular dystrophy and Vitamin D deficiency disease. Increasingly, these symptoms often occur on children. People want the computer to enable children to master scientific skill, and encourage them to do more meaningful things instead of spending time on playing computer games or chatting in chat room.
Nowadays, people have found the balance between science and technology and entertainment. Many high-tech products are extremely popular among children and young people, because these products meet their requirements and promote their living quality, and teach them how to integrate into the electronic world.
With the electronic applying to the design and manufacture of the toys, electronic toys have been the idol of the day. At present, there are three major types of toys: light-controlled toys, voice-controlled toys and remote controlled toys. |
