It really does not matter if you are a business owner that is trying to improve your client relationship with your customers, or a copywriter that is trying to improve the relationships that you have built with your clients, you can bet that this can have a huge impact on your business and your life.
Relationships are the basis of everything, business or personal.
Parents… business owners… friendships… almost everything.
Without a solid, trusting relationship youu shouldn't be working together. It's just that simple.
Unfortunately most people simply do not understand that you can change the quality of relationships, FAST.
And that’s what I’m going to reveal to you today.
Let's have at it then.
#1 – Be Genuinely Excited: Many times when I first talk to a client on the phone, I’ll ask certain questions such as how their business is going, what goals they’re trying to achieve with the project they offered me, etc. etc. And when they give me the answers, I’m genuinely excited for them to reach those goals. Increasing profits for my customers is not only about me. It is all about helping my customers...and helping my customer's custormers!
#2 - Promises: Here is a thought that my mentor shared with me not long ago. The fastest way to build trust in a relationship is to promise them something, and then deliver on it. When you do, remind them that you promised them something and it was just delivered.
Here’s an example.
Say that you get a new potential customer and make a promise, just a small one, to send them something such as refferals, samples, promotional materials, etc.) by a 3 p.m. on the same day. You then do exactly hwat you promised and remind that that you sent them everything that you promised. Each and every time that you do something like this you are building a stronger connection with that person. Yep, the small things reall DO matter that much!
#3 Address Mistakes: Today most people refuse to believe that they could ever do anything wrong. There is ZERO accountability on them personally, but 100% on the shoulders of the other party. Here is a reality check for you. If you don’t find yourself admitting to doing something wrong at least a few times per week, you need to be real with yourself and bring your ego down a few notches! Taking personal responsibility is the mark of a genuinely amazing person. one that others want to be around.
There are literally dozens of methods to use to increase client relationships, but if you focus on these three you will find a huge difference in your present and future relationships.
Once you have mastered these three methods and want to lean more about becoming a very likable and respecetd person, try picking up a copy of How to Win Friends and Influence People. I have read that book more times than I can count, in fact I read it at least once per year, just to refresh my mind.
How are your relationships? There’s no shame in having bad or mediocre relationships now, as long as you’re willing to work on it. |
