AdWords campaigns have become a popular medium to attract a large number of people to your business website. Similar to other advertisement models, the performance of the search result based advertising campaign can be evaluated based on the click through rate (CTR) of a particular ad group. The CTR is also used as a tool to estimate the market demand for both newly launched products and the already popular products. A business can initiate the ad campaign to achieve a set of different marketing and sales targets, but CTR evaluates the performance of the campaign irrespective its nature and purpose. If an advertiser in new to the AdWords model launched by Google, he will have to struggle to achieve a higher CTR. But a business can always consider a set of significant factors to achieve a higher CTR over a longer period of time. It will also make it convenient for the business to evaluate and analyze the market demand for a product or to increase the existing volume of sales through direct and online sales.

Organizing the Ad Groups

When arranging and organizing the chosen keywords and keyword phrases, you need to make individual ad groups by including related keywords. For instance, if your have four keywords dentists, dentist London, dental clinic and dental clinic London, you must include the first two AdWords keywords in a single ad group and the latter two keywords in another ad group. It may sound silly, but many advertisers commit the minor mistake while arranging the selected keywords. It is always important to look at the list of keywords and keyword phrases on a regular basis to rearrange these into different ad groups. Sometimes you may feel like taking out a keyword from a particular ad group and include the same in another.

Creating Relevant Ads

Normally, the positioning of an ad among the paid search results has an impact on the CTR received by the ads. When you start writing your ads, you can look at the various ads AdWords appearing in the top three positions of a Google search results page. You can always refer to the ads posted by your competitors and other companies dealing in similar category of products or services. It is also important to include the most searched keyword in the title line of your ad and creating ads having relevance with the advertised products or services. The same will have a impact on the posted ads and help in achieving an increased CTR.

Selection and Placement of Right Keywords

As you optimize the websites and web content, you need to optimize the ads by incorporating the most searched keywords. An AdWords ad will achieve a higher CTR, when it is displayed to a large number of users interested to avail the benefits and features offered by the products. The keywords can also be incorporated with spelling variations and different versions. For instance, by using the US and UK versions of an English keyword, you can optimize the ads to be shown to people looking out for the products from the different regions and continents.
