| 5 Of The Worst Things About Cheap Flyers |

I know some of us need to save money in marketing. That is why cheap flyers are one of the first options that many small businesses do to compensate for those cost cutting measures. However, before you go to those flyer printers and cut down on all those materials, you might want to read the list below first.
I am going to tell you here some of the worst things about cheap flyers that I hate. If you are going to print flyers in a low cost manner, you should at least avoid all these dangers. Believe me, I will be doing you a favor in telling you these things because your flyers will fail if you do these.
1. Corny, Cheesy and Boring commercial messages.
The worst thing about cheap flyers, that I extremely hate are the corny cheesy and boring commercial messages. This is a symptom of the designers trying to save money by just writing the content themselves. With all the flyer competition out there, using those corny and derivative statements do not work anymore.
So it is best to try to spend a bit more with flyer printing and hire a writer. If you do not want to add on the cost too much, try to just hire a good friend or family member that can write good. The more original you can make your content, the better your flyers.
2. Common and used clip-arts.
Another thing I abhor about cheap flyers are the common or used clip-arts. To save money, people typically just go for the images that are free and easily available. There is nothing wrong with this for the most part.
However, if everyone is actually using those free resources, then you will find that your own color flyers will have similar elements to the others in your market. That is not good for a commercial flyer that wants to stand out. So if you are serious about competing with flyers, you might want to use more original images and clip-arts, even though they cost a bit more.
3. Small flyer frames.
Of course, cheap flyers typically are little flyers. It is the concept basically that the lesser the materials, the cheap the printing cost. While this is practical, I also do not like doing this in my flyer printing. This is because small flyers can easily be dismissed and thrown away. There is no weight to small flyers and basically you will have a less chance of being noticed and responded to with smaller type flyer frames. Try to just spend a wee bit more on a larger flyer template to at least get some good visible weight for your flyers next time.
4. Thin paper materials.
Typically cheap flyers also use thin paper materials. This is something I do not like because it makes the flyer much more vulnerable. Normal flyers are vulnerable enough since they do not have covers or anything, but cheap flyers with thin paper materials are basically just “lambs for the slaughter”.
Distribute them one day, and within just hours, you will find lots of them torn, folded and soaked depending on the season. Those flyers will not be as effective when this happens, and basically you will be wasting money with such flyers that do not last too long anyway.
5. Bad and fading inks.
Finally, I hate the fact that cheap flyers have bad and fading inks. Since flyers are quick time promotions, you need that intense and potent impact immediately with those prints. If you print those flyers cheaply, those cheap inks would hardly be as impressive and as intense as you need them to be.
You would not really get good results with these cheap flyers, altogether defeating the purpose of producing them. So try to really think carefully about going for cheap flyers.
So if you are printing cheap flyers, you might want to review all the items above. You might want to invest a bit more for a better flyer campaign that works.
