If there is a perfect year-round escape, Breckenridge, Colorado is it. Located just 90 miles from Denver, it established over 150 years ago and retains much of the historic charm. Out-of-the way, yet accessible, the community of just under 3,000 is a resort destination without the overdone trappings of most resort destinations. The city is home to over 2,000 acres of skiing and riding and four huge peaks. Since the completion of the Eisenhower tunnel in 1973, the drive time from Denver to Breckenridge was cut in half, making it the most accessible resort in the region.
