A white picket fence is probably one of the most classic types of fences that you could install. A white picket fence is great to go around your entire yard or property or you could just install it around a certain section, such as a garden. Perhaps you want your white picket fence to just be able to keep the chickens or sheep round up. Whatever your reasons for using a white picket fence, it is generally a great pick that people are happy with and will use for many years.
A white picket fence makes your home look welcoming and cozy because it is just so classy. It is a great addition to almost any home and will boost the curb appeal if you need to put it on the market. You might imagine a white picket fence in a movie you have seen and it is portrayed as a safe and a quaint home. Aside from making your yard and home look more beautiful, a white picket fence can also keep the children or pets in so you don't have to worry about them running out into the road. This fence can also keep other animals or children out if you want to have some quiet time to spend with just your family. A picket fence is typically shorter, so that you can see over it and know that there is not anyone hiding behind it just waiting to intrude.
Sometimes a white picket fence might be a good option to put around your vegetable or flower garden. A picket fence can keep some animals out of the garden and keep your vegetables fresh and growing beautifully. If you have a white picket fence around your vegetable garden, it may be a nice touch to plant some tall wild flowers around the outside of the fence. Not only will the picket fence keep animals out, but you can plant vine plants, such as beans, and they can grow up the slats of the fence. It is also just to have a boundary so that your yard does not just blend into the garden, but that the garden has its own distinct area.
A white picket fence might be a good idea if you own animals and you want to keep them corralled in an elegant way. Rather than just throwing a cage or a boundary together, you might consider installing a white picket fence for your chickens to run around inside. Sheep can also be corralled inside a fenced area made of white pickets, and it will look really cute. If you have other animals that will not be able to jump the fence, this would be a good option for them, and keep your yard looking quite classy.
Whatever your reasons are for needing a fence, a white picket fence is always a classic in look, style, and function. There are many things you can do to make your yard look great, and installing just the right fence is one of them. You will probably not be disappointed if you decide to get a picket fence that is white because it is one of the oldest, most classic styles of fence that has stuck around for years.
