Some people would only imagine having a wood fireplace in their formal living room, but in fact there are many rooms that you can have a wood fireplace. If you are building a house and you want a classic touch that will benefit you in many ways, you might consider having a wood fireplace in a lot of your rooms. A wood fireplace does not always have to be banned to the living room, because wherever you imagine it, that's where it can be.
The classic and typical spot to have a wood fireplace in your home is in the living room. That is where you greet your guests and visitors, and that is where they come to feel at home or not. Having a wood fireplace in your living room can also heat up the living space that you might use the most for get togethers with friends or just with the family. Aside from being functional for many reasons, a wood fireplace also just makes the living room look formal and beautiful.
You may not have ever thought to put a wood fireplace in the bathroom, but that is actually a great place for a wood fireplace. Having a wood fireplace in the bathroom can really help you relax at the end of the day when you are taking a long soak in the tub. Turn out the artificial bright lights, start a fire in the wood fireplace, fill up your warm bubble bath, and perhaps even turn on some music and just soak and relax. Perhaps instead of listening to music, you might even find the crackling of the wood fireplace a soothing sound.
A bedroom is a really great place for a wood fireplace, because at night you can put out the fire, and the heat will typically stay in the room, heating it up so that you can turn down the heater and save on your next gas bill. Having a wood fireplace in your bedroom can also make it more romantic on those nights when you just want to cuddle up with your spouse and sit in front of a warm fire.
Some people put a wood fireplace outside on the patio for cool nights that you want to sit out and enjoy being outside. Wrapped up in a blanket, you might really enjoy sitting out on the patio in front of your wood fireplace, smelling the fire and winding down for the night. Also having a wood fireplace outside on the patio makes it a great place to roast hot dogs or make s'mores, making your yard a favorite for get togethers.
A fireplace is a functional and beautiful centerpiece for many rooms, and even for the outdoors. Having a fireplace in your new home is a great idea and you may want to use some creativity in deciding exactly where to have one installed. Install a fireplace in your home and you will have many years to come of comfort and warmth for you and you family to enjoy. |
