| If you have a landscaping business, or you do your own, a portable pump can help make your projects easier. Whether your business needs a portable pump to use for power spraying sidewalks shiny, or you have a small fleet of trucks to house a mounted power washer, there are a variety of inexpensive yet heavy duty pumps to choose from. Once choice is a portable pump with wheels which make them easy to pull by hand, another is one which is can be hung on a tool belt. To help you decide the best portable pump for your business, think about your primary need. If your use is light and will primarily be in one location, or you need portability, then either an electric power washer on wheels or hand held portable pump is a good choice because they are low maintenance, lightweight. They have cord lengths of 35 feet or longer. Many models have accessory tools which make them multi-functional. Although this type of portable pump is smaller in size, it has a powerful direct drive motor and psi of 1600 to over 2000, depending on the model. Choose a portable pump which can be used for either high pressure or low pressure water washing for interior as well as exterior use. If your business has a fleet of trucks and you need a portable pump which will stand up to medium duty use, then a gasoline-powered power washer is an affordable choice. They are strong, and have 6.5 horsepower engines that can remain idle for longer periods. One reason is because this type of portable pump has a release valve, allowing the heat from the engine to escape, keeping it cool. A gas powered portable pump over 2,700 per square inch is appropriate for medium use. These heavy duty power washers will stay in place and are light enough to carry. The portable pump can handle more than 2.5 gallons per minute of water. Some have optional accessory tools, just like their electric counterparts, and come with longer hoses. Their overall size is a benefit, because they take up little space, allowing for plenty of room for other equipment in a truck bed. For high commercial use needing combined portability and power, a portable pump with a gas powered power washer with a 13 horsepower engine that can pump over 4 gallons per minute is worth consideration. This type of portable pump is a mean machine on wheels with an engine that can last 15 years or longer, making them a good investment. A portable pump that has a powerful 3,500 psi or greater power washers with brass quick release valves and a large variety of pressure tips is available. Look for models with a trigger wand, an onboard detergent tank and storage compartment for the many accessories for greater convenience. These portable pumps are still compact with handles which fold down, which makes storage easy. With so many choices in power washing, a portable pump can handle light or hard heavy duty cleaning. Since they are available in gas or electric powered models, their portability is a plus. Whether their use is light or high, a portable pump will have a variety of accessories. Some come with the portable pump, while others can be purchased separately. |
