It's early spring and you really wish it could just be summer so you could bring out your pool and swim, or at least that you could pull out some sort of heating pool pump so that you can go swimming. Well, you can! Every pool owner knows that the pool pump is the center of your filtration system. Ordinarily, however, the kind of pool pump that people think of are simply the ones that help pull the water through your filter so you're pool stays nice and clean. A heating pool pump, on the other hand, warms the water in your pool so you can swim even when it's cooler outside. Now you won't have to wait until the hotter months of summer to swim, you can get out your pool in the cooler spring months.
There is as large variety choices when looking for a heating pool pump and the process is similar to looking for a regular filtering pool pump. The best part is of the heating pool pump is that not only does it warm your water, but it also still attaches to your filter so it cleans the water. The way a heating pool pump works is very similar to an ordinary pool pump. As the water circulates the pool dirty water is sucked through the filter and passes through the pool pump.
The difference with a heating pool pump happens in this step. Instead of just pushing the water back out, the water is heated as it passes the pool pump because of a chemical reaction that happens inside. A heated pool pump pulls warm air from around it that reacts with the Freon which is inside the pool pump. This chemical reaction warms the waters around three to five degrees before pushing the water back out. That way not only is your water sparkling clean, but it'll also be warmer so you can swim even when the weather is cooler.
Make sure that if you decide to get a heating pool pump that you get the right size. It's easy to rush out to the pool store and buy the first, shiny new pool pump that you see, especially when the store's employee assures you that it is a top buy. But if you buy a pool pump one that isn't quite the right size, you may return home only to find that the pump is too big or too small to fit correctly. A wrong-sized pump can maybe still be made to fit on your pool, but if it's too big and powerful it'll cost more to run and if it's too small it might not be able to keep up with the dirt build-up so you'll still end up with a gross pool.
A heating pool pump is the perfect option to consider if your pool is just a little too cold to swim. Even if it's not the heat of summer, you can go out and enjoy a relaxing day in the pool. You won't have to worry about the water being too cold or about any grime building up since the pump will both heat, and clean your water.
