Have you or someone around you been affected by Heartburn? If you answered yes to the question above, then read on because there are solutions to this common ailment. We are now living in an information accessible society that is able to get more answers prior to obtaining a doctor prescribed medication. You have probably noticed that people are preferring to go the natural route in dealing with their ailments. In the case of heartburn, there are a lot of homemade remedies online currently but not every one will work for you. Our bodies are unique and you will have to find that one treatment that will work for you.

Home made remedies will come in all shapes and sizes because no one stomach is alike. In simple terms, each individual reacts differently. The goal of
the heartburn sufferer is to keep trying out treatments until you find the one that works for YOU. The toughest part about trying things out is the potential let down of something not working. Avoid the temptation to quit. If something doesn't work, find another treatment immediately and keep going.

There Are Some Simple Ways
Here are some of the more popular treatments that people have tried with very good results.

Bubble Gum - The main reason why heartburn happens in the first place is because some of those nasty stomach acids have managed to leak into a dry oesophagus. A coping mechanism that our bodies have developed over time is the release of saliva into the oesophagus to act as a way to line the walls and form a barrier against the acids. There are ways to make your body think that it needs to release more saliva. Chewing gum is one of those ways to allow for more saliva to be released and sent down to your oesophagus. Not all gum is created equal though when it comes to these homemade remedies. Minty gum should be avoided as it has the potential to aggrevate the problem and not stop it.

Water - If you drink water on a regular basis, then you already know how good it is for you. The one thing that you may not have known is that it also has some really great heartburn cure properties as well. Drinking water, in the right quantities, will enter your stomach and water down those stomach acids enough that if they do leak, they will be much less potent on your oesophagus lining. Unfortunately you can’t just gulp down 2.5L (recommended adult daily measure) all at once because this could create other issues like diluting your stomach acids down to the point where they no longer break down your food adequately. A good practice would be to fill up a water bottle at the start of the day and take little sips from it every once and awhile. This allows you a steady intake of water without the chance of watering down your stomach too much.

Ginger - Ginger, which comes in root form or powder form, is noted as being an effective curing agent of many ailments in many countries. The biggest benefit of ginger is in its muscle relaxing properties. When the ginger enters into your stomach, it works to relax the stomach lining with the end result of less stomach acid release into the oesophagus. The great thing about ginger is that it can be consumed in many different forms. Their are lots of recipes that call for ginger as an active ingredient, some drink it as a tea and some suck on it in candy form. There are also people who will chew the ginger root in its untouched form. The form doesn't matter, just the fact that it is going into your body will make your stomach very happy.

So there you have it. These homemade remedies for heartburn are simple and easy to start off with. Again, don’t get too disappointed if they don’t
work. Try other natural cures because you WILL find one that your body is happy with and it will make all the difference.
