Ayurveda is also translated as the knowledge of life. There are no concrete known facts as to the origin of ayurveda. Some believe that it was created by Lord Brahma the Creator of the Universe, in Indian Hindu mythology. This knowledge was then passed on to various Gods who used it for curing and healing purposes.
