Body language and animal thought
Thought and language is an interesting thing. I once met a man who had grown up in several places in Asia, and he literally and actually said that he spoke neither language very well. So that begs the question - what language does he think in? There are more people like that, for example once there was a Chinese boy who grew up in Japan, but his skill in both languages was not that good. Some languages in the world use pictures or characters instead of a phonetic system.
This means that they can't be used in a spoken way as efficiently as Western languages can, so they breed illogical talk and inefficiency. Most places get around this by talking mostly in dialects.
This also gives rise to the question of what language do animals think in? How do they understand their own consciousness, such as chimpanzees or apes perhaps may? Or maybe they don't. Other languages are body language, which is certainly a language in itself. It can be used to convey many emotions, and sometimes no matter if someone lies from their mouth, their body language will reveal the truth. But how far can that go? Could someone ask for their Christmas presents just by using body language? It seems unlikely. Specifying what toys and games you want just by a flick of the hip seems pretty difficult. Unless pointing is also body language, and you can just point at what you want. That does seem cheating though, and people don't spend much time thinking of what are good gift ideas for cheats, they just don't talk to them much at all.
