Ever since the Smartphone was launched, it changed the way customers view cellular devices. This is because Smartphones are more than simple cellular devices, as they provide instant access to all the information one requires: contact details, appointments and most of all, the Internet.

A person with a daily hectic schedule needs to have instant access to all the essential data to avoid missing the next big business opportunity. What better way to achieve this than to have a device that has all the proposals and schedules stored in, enables you to access business news and directly get in contact with partners?

The classic smartphone client is the businessman. The device provides immediate client information, list of requirements and the status of projects. But in the recent years, it has become generally used by every man and woman, from the age of 10 to the age of 75. So what is the criterion for the best business Smartphone? We take a look at the three top Smartphone brands in the UK: HTC, Blackberry and Apple.

The best Smartphone in the HTC product range is the HTC Incredible. Business customers are initially attracted to this product because of its improved interface, larger screen and the straightforward design, which has a rubber party to prevent it from sliding. Although slightly thicker than the iPhone and the Blackberry, it is less heavy. The phone has an 800x480 AMOLED look, with full QWERTY buttons and an optical joystick - very useful when editing and navigating through text.

The most important feature of a business Smartphone is its software responsiveness. HTC Incredible uses the Android 2.1 operating system with some added features to its interface. These features enable it to reveal the most used applications in a single flow. Another highly important aspect for business users is the practicality of the keyboard. The HTC Incredible has the most practical Android touch-keyboard ever implemented on a Smartphone. The larger screen and keyboard made the Incredible a favourite in the business smartphone sector and users prefer it to iPhone and Blackberry, as far as e-mail and text handling is concerned. The product makes texting and sending e-mails a wonderful experience.

Both the corporate and personal e-mail setups have been made easy and ready to use immediately. The camera feature of the Incredible is a five-megapixel shooter with a twin-LED flash. The most impressive thing about it is its focus responsiveness, which operates by autofocus or click-to-focus. The controls are also impressive as they allow the user to adjust brightness, contrast, saturation and even set the ISO manually.

One of the drawbacks of this device is the battery's lifespan, which lasts for only 12 hours with rare use. Although the model is lighter than the average Smartphone, the plastic interface has a cheap feeling to it. The downside of using the Android OS with the HTC Sense interface is that the functions and applications become harder to use, as they become harder to find.

The Blackberry Pearl 9105 has a rather out-of-date layout and initially it did seem like more of a general customer Smartphone, than a business Smartphone. The first benefit of the new Blackberry as a business tool is that it is 30% smaller than the Blackberry Bold 9700, having sizes of 107x 49.7 mm. The software is more powerful than with previous Blackberry models, as it includes 3G connectivity. The front has a 360x400 resolution, which is highly appreciated for video watching and doesn't make reading tiresome.
The biggest downside of the Blackberry Pearl 9105 is that it doesn't have a QWERTY keyboard, which minimizes its practicality as a business Smartphone. Still, text is easily produced by using Blackberry Suretype technology. This technology creates a more efficient way of typing, by combining the classic QWERTY keyboard with a touchpad. Other improvements to the model include an over 30,000 word list, which also includes terms of specialty and speeds up text composition, tracking of word outlines and occurrences, automatic spell-check, and storing contact details in the address book.

The optical trackpad is another wonderful feature as it makes navigating through menus and functions an absolute joy. Media functions have been incorporated to make rewinding, playing and pausing more accessible. The operating system is BlackBerry 5.0, which promises to provide the same functionality as a highly-enhanced desktop computer. The power of the device generates from a processor of 624 MHz, with a 256MB Flash memory; it can also support a memory card of up to 32GB capacity. The battery's lifespan is known to be of up to 6 hours talk via 3G connection.

The iPhone 4 is a favourite for business users as a result of its fast performance, which enhanced the capacity of organizing data and accessing it when need be. The iPhone has the highest screen resolution out of all smart business mobile phones. This characteristic allows more efficient use of applications which enable highly relevant activities in the business sector, such as video calling through Wi-Fi.

One of the things that make the iPhone unique in the business Smartphone sector is that it gives users the possibility to save document applications directly to an IMAP e-mail system, such as Gmail and Yahoo. Another one of the iPhone's focuses is that it the easy acquiring of notes and business proposals and can therefore certainly replace a laptop.
The battery of the iPhone 4 has been improved and it can provide up to 7 hours of talk. This allows users to enjoy the device at its fullest capacity in the business environment and that would still give have enough battery for Internet, GPS and music. The iPhone has a platform of 225,000 applications which are sure to provide all the functions and data a user in the business sector needs.

While the HTC Incredible provides an excellent service at an excellent price and is one of the best business devices on the market, the Blackberry is the official symbol of the business Smartphone. The Blackberry Pearl 9105 is an improved version of its predecessors for the business customer, by providing more power and a complete browser package. While the iPhone attempted to make business-friendly Smartphone, Blackberry has more professional expertise in this domain. Alongside connecting to personal e-mail accounts, the Blackberry Pearl takes a step forward with Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Domino and the BlackBerry Enterprise Server. These features make the Blackberry appealing to the IT customers. The Pearl automatically switches between portrait and landscape modes, which helps when reading compactly packed pages. In conclusion, the Blackberry is a much better business Smartphone than the iPhone, as it performs tasks in a variety of different ways as opposed to the iPhone.
