| Diversifying Your Income Stream |

One of the most important things you should know with your website is that you need to diversify your income.
Assuming most of your ads are with Google AdSense. Let’s suppose it makes up 90% of your website's revenue. Heaven forbid if Google should ever suspend your account! You would lose 90% of your website's earnings, then what would you do? Would you be able to recover your losses immediately? Most people would not.
If you have a website, you can diversify by using pay-per-click, direct leads, PPA or pay per action or by getting commissions from promoting products or services.
Just make sure to view the performance of your website. One way of doing this is by monitoring which banners and ads are doing well and which ones are not. It's also an excellent idea to vary your banners every few months anyway to get "fresh blood" on your site. One need to do this because your visitors will soon overlook all your ads and banners as they become “banner blind”.
Opening other websites is another way of broadening one’s profit. Presently, I have some sites that I acquire earnings from. Google banned one of my sites from their search engine nearly 4 months ago! Among internet marketers, this is a commonhappening. It seems that my site had lots of outgoing links to sponsor ads and they regard it a "link farm". But that site at the time was raking in around $1000 per month. Imagine what could have happened if I didn’t have my other websites to pick up the slack?
Another way to develop your websites is to have a number of them on different servers. These days hosting is dirt cheap. Let’s suppose throw one or two of them up on a $5.99 a month server and pay for a year's worth of hosting, you're doing the right thing. Aside from the search engine benefits, you also don’t have to worry if one of your servers will go down.
Just remember to always look for new streams of income for striving to learn new ways of receiving money online is worth it in the end. |
