1) The first step is to remove your vertical blinds but it should be done very carefully so that the blades are safe. Always remember that you must never use extra force to remove the blinds. You must remove the top of the blade very gently and then unhook them from the tracking system. And then fold the blades in half but keep in mind that you do not cause any creases in the fabric.
2) Then you can pour the cold water in the bath tub and add some carpet cleaning solution or liquid detergent to the solution. Stir the water well so that all the substances may dissolve in the water completely.
3) Your next step will be put your blinds in that solution and leave it for 45 minutes. After few minutes you can see that the water changes its colour it shows that how much dirt your blade has accumulated. But if the dirt has not come out by just soaking it in the water then you can use nail brush to remove the dirt completely but you must be very careful while cleaning your blind you must make sure that you do not damage the fabric.
4) Now remove the blinds from the solution and pour it again in the cold water to rinse the vertical blinds. And then hold the blades to drain the water.
5) Now finally you can install the blades back to the tracking system. You can use towel to rinse the blades and leave them in that position only. Your blind will take 30 minutes to dry but it also depends on the material of the fabric.
