The international conservation community has declared elephants as an endangered species The forests and wildlife reserves which are teeming elephants are becoming the major tourist attraction. Ironically there has been a consistent decline in the number of elephants due to illegal poaching all over the world.. Uganda, a small east African nation had over 30,000 elephants especially during 1960 and the numbers were drastically reduced since countless elephants moved to nearby Congo, during the cruel regime of Idi Amin- then army general. There are few elephants left in the park and forests of Uganda. The population is growing but unless preserved with determination the great mammal will extinguish from the surface of Earth.

There are many dense forests and national parks for which tourists are attracted. These fascinating places have numerous species of birds, mammals, gorillas, elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos and many other. Over 540 species of birds and 70 species of mammals are in the spotting region. The tourists enjoy the safari because it is simple and easy to spot these species within the parks and forests.
Visitors can opt to stay in hotels, apartments, guest houses or hostels. Kampala is now a city of mixed people from many parts of the world. People from across the world visit Kampala on business and for amusement. Visibly the place may not be attractive but the capital city is rich in tradition and has several international eateries, hotels and apartments. Nevertheless, the city is pricey as compared to other areas in Uganda. Hotels in Kampala are expensive. But if you are on holiday tour then it is sensible to rent an apartment in Kampala, to be inside the budget and benefit from a homely atmosphere.

The apartments are well furnished with modern comforts and consist of large bedrooms, roomy living room and dining space, complete kitchen, suitable bathrooms with towels and linens. Apartments in Kampala are particular in providing modern gadgets like telephone, television, internet and other home appliances. Many apartment provide laundry facility and car parking. You can enjoy a homely atmosphere in apartments and cook your choicest food. The costs are economical and reasonable and fits to every taste and budget.
