It is essential to take proper care of your skin regardless of your age. You can surely get a younger looking skin provided you follow these few simple ips.
With the current busy life-style, lots of people do not have the time to stick to a regular, rigorous skincare routine however these ideas will make your skin look healthier and maintain younger looking skin for a longer time!
Tip #1 Avoid too much exposure to the sun.
he UV rays from the sun are most harmful for your skin amongst other things. Aside from the risk of skin cancers it may cause premature ageing, wrinkles before your time, freckles, dry skin as well as brown spots. To avoid this damage you should always wear a hat as much as you can when out in full sun for any length of time and it's best to try to avoid the sun when it's at its hottest during the middle of the day when the sun's rays are at their most intense. Wearing the right type of clothes can really prove to be helpful. And always use sunscreen! A generous application of sunscreen half an hour before sun exposure goes a good way to avoiding the premature aging of your skin. Remember to re-apply every two hours, more often if you've been swimming or have sweated profusely.
Tip #2 Give up smoking!
We all know that smoking isn't good for our health, but many people don't understand that it even causes harm and early aging to our skin. Since the oxygenated blood flow is reduced to your skin, smoking prevents the skin from getting oxygen and Vitamin A , each of which are important to the maintenance of healthy, young looking skin. Additionally elastin and collagen the fibres that keep your skin strong and flexible can be ruined by smoking. And you need to stop smoking as soon as possible, if you are a chain smoker. There are several services readily available which assist people to give up, such as treatments and nicotine supplements available from your medical practitioner. In the long run your entire body will benefit from this small change in lifestyle.
Tip #3 Be gentle to your skin
The skin can undergo small amounts of damage daily, which in the long term have a large influence on your appearance. If you take hot showers daily, it may remove all the natural and essential oils from your skin. Have faster showers at a lower temperature, and apply gentle moisturising cleansers rather than strong soaps. Shaving is another regular activity which causes trauma to our skin. Always use a lubricating shaving foam and gel with a sharp razor to lower the damage. Using a good aftershave moisturiser will assist in soothing the skin and replacing essential oils.
Tip #4 Balanced and healthy diet
While science has not proven a direct link among acne and the food we consume, adopting a better diet will definitely improve the way our skin looks, and the way we feel. You can help your skin from ageing and damaging by consuming lots of anti-oxidant rich fruits and vegetables regularly.
Tip #5 Rest!
Science has proved that stress leads to detrimental effects on our entire body. It may result in breakouts of acne but over long periods of time, just like sun damage, it acts to break down our skin's normal elasticity causing wrinkles and other signs of ageing. Relaxed is healthy and this applies to our skin as well! Try meditation or relaxation workouts, or perhaps, if your exercise for sometime daily, it will help you reduce your stress levels tremendously.
