Startup issues are very common in computer operating system, including Microsoft Windows XP. When startup problems take place, system does not boot up and thus you can not log into it to access data. Go back to My Computer, open the C drive and access root directory.



Copy below files to floppy disk:
Boot.ini
NTLDR
Ntdetect.com





After creating a Windows startup disk, insert in in floppy drive of your affected system and then press [Ctrl]+[Alt]+[Delete] for rebooting the system. When you boot the system from Windows startup disk, system will bypass active partition and boot files on hard drive and try to boot Windows XP normally.

If this method does not help you to resolve the problem, you need to format your Windows hard drive that eventually cause data loss and require Windows Data Recovery to handle the situation.
