| Losing those Stubborn Last 15 Pounds |

Trying to lose those last 15 pounds can be trying. When you've got a lot of weight to lose, the closer you get to your goal weight, the more stubborn the pounds become. It's almost as though your body is telling you that it's had enough of this weight loss drag. But you know it's not enough for you. And you can overcome your stubborn body's attitude!
It's time to step up the diet a notch to remind your body who is in charge!
1. Drink lots of water. Your rebelling body is going to want to snack and may send you signals that you're hungry, when really all you need is a glass of water to curb your craving. Not only will it send another message to your brain that it's really just thirst you're after, but it'll also help fill your belly and keep you hydrated.
2. Cut back on carbs, but not completely. It's never good to cut an entire food group out of your system, but carbs have been known to hold back weight gain. Try and limit your carbs to just a few servings a day, and always choose whole grain options over refined whites.
3. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables. When you're craving sweets, a juicy apple can fill you up and satisfy your sweet tooth. Want something salty? Steam some zucchini and sprinkle with garlic salt for a flavorful snack.
4. Cut out unnecessary sugars and fats. Drink diet drinks instead of sugary ones that offer no nutritional value (like soda). Suck on sugar-free candies. Switch to low-fat cheese instead of full fat. And replace oil in your baking with applesauce.
5. Exercise, exercise, exercise! We can't stress enough how important it is to lead an active lifestyle when you're trying to lose weight.
