Many people don't know what is a business grant. Firstly what exactly is business grant needs to be made clear. It came into picture as companies have to borrow money from bank as loans and in return have to pay huge interests on the loan. So, government started giving small business grants to the firms setting various regulations and conditions. The companies don't have to pay any interest for these rather they don't have to pay a penny back to the government.
For these grants from the government the companies need to give reasonable reasons to them. Everyone can't earn these grants until the government genuinely feels that it would somewhere help in the economic growth of the country. The granter that is the government examines the company like what quantity of money has been already invested in the company, what profit has it earned, how many individuals have been employed, have they already taken loans etc. After analyzing they choose the one who really deserves it. The rules set by the grantor need to be strictly followed by the recipient plus it must be strictly used for the reason for which it is given. The granted money is allowed to be used as mentioned by the grantor or the consequences have to be faced.
These small business grants are even for encouraging small industries that are coming up and also have great potential. The only obstacle being faced is the lack of funds.
The grants given can be for a number of reasons like constructing a building in the same premises, starting something new, purchasing property etc to expand their business. Money is granted for animal husbandry, farming and fishing too. This would be needing labor, manpower, would give job to many unemployed. The major reason for the small business grants can be these too. For the firms or industries which are already established are granted with grants for exploration and advancement or to purchase a new technology. The industries in the export business are also encouraged by providing small business grants so that our country gets more international exposure.
These small things help in the growth of the country that is the purpose of the government to offer these grants. The submission of the draft of the business plan should be appropriate so that it gets more priority. It is quite necessary as there are lots of people who apply for the grant. So, the reason for which you need the grant and how the money will be utilized should be laid properly and the cause should be highlighted to obtain the grant. The loan is assessed once the grant is approved. Not only the government but few organizations also available online provide grants.
