Australia has been found by many as a prosperous and well-developed country. It is also recorded as the smallest continent in the world. The continent has been recorded to have the world's thirteenth largest economy in the entire globe, even up to this day. As far as businesses go, the continent has ranked highly in their culture, quality of life, human development, public education, economic freedom, and the protection of individuals for their civil rights and liberties.

Telemarketing within the Australian continent has proven to be one of the most difficult places to get a business' name across. The reason is for their tight and restricted laws about the service by the Australian Federal Government. Telephone lines within the continent are also heavily guarded by the Australian Communications and Media Authority or the ACMA. Their legislation provides a great amount of restriction towards calling hours for a telemarketer within the continent's walls that are directed for research and marketing.

A Do-Not-Call Registry has been founded by the Australian Government in recent years. This registry has been provided for certain individuals and businesses to register their number in the list so that telemarketers cannot call them. If a telemarketer has called someone within the registry then they might be heavily reprimanded for the call.

The Australian Government limits the type of marketing calls being made to these individuals and businesses. However, there are still some exceptions to the rule. One such exception includes calls that are being made for research. As such, surveys being made through the telephone can slip through Australian phone lines. Other exemptions to the rule include calls that are being made for charities and some political aspects. But when an individual requests that they are to be removed from the telemarketing list then the telephone marketing company must do so; otherwise the telemarketing company can face dozens of consequences.

It is said that the harder the challenge, the greater the rewards. Businesses that want to target the Australian continent for their appointment setting services will reap greater rewards when they succeed for their marketing strategy. If in case that a business does not yet have the necessary resources to manage such a campaign then they can always outsource their services for setting up appointments towards a telemarketing company.

The business need not to worry about the all the rules and laws for the Australian Government as they have already taken all of them into account. Also, these companies takes much heed towards their Do-Not-Call Registry so that their clientele's business name cannot be tarnished.

In addition for their high regard for Australian rules and laws, the telemarketers have already amassed a considerable amount of experience to effectively set up quality appointments for their clientele. This makes outsourcing towards them a higher form of investment than any other marketing strategy.

Telephone marketing representatives that set their sights on the land down under has already mastered their art of speaking. Natives within the continent have a special form of slang when speaking to people, even to those that are not from their continent. Hence, inexperienced people who targets this continent is sure to be lost when it comes to speaking with them. Some of the more popular slang and lingo that are used when speaking to the natives in the land down under are:

• Arvo (meaning afternoon)
• Bloke (means a man)
• Happy as Larry (means very happy)
• Mate (means a friend)
• Ta (means thanks)
• G'day (means hello)
